For many couples, the path to parenthood can feel like a lifetime when you’re having trouble conceiving. The emotional ups and downs and physical demands can take a serious toll on both partners.

For Jayna and her husband, their fertility journey began fifteen years ago. Before turning to Sincera Reproductive Medicine, Jayna and her husband endured a countless number of tests and treatments for years without success. After ten failed pregnancies, they felt hopeless and heartbroken. Yet, they weren’t ready to give up. Determined to explore all options, Jayna and her husband eventually decided to seek a second opinion at Sincera.

“I’ll never forget when I switched to Sincera Reproductive Medicine after years at another practice, feeling hopeless, and being told I’d never carry my own baby.” Jayna shares.

The providers at Sincera offered a different perspective. “They told me, I think you can use your own eggs and carry. It’s more about what you can put yourself through physically, mentally and financially.” Jayna said.

The Process of IVF at Sincera

Sincera offered Jayna and her husband a renewed sense of hope. Though they had experienced such devastating loss before, something told them to not give up. Jayna decided to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) with the experts at Sincera Reproductive Medicine.

IVF bypasses many of the common barriers that can impact fertility and offers advanced technology to increase success rates.

In typical cycles, conception is quite complicated. One egg (oocyte) must ovulate and travel through the fallopian tubes. At the same time, a single sperm has to travel to meet the egg at just the right time to fertilize and create an embryo. The embryo then must successfully implant into the uterus to establish a healthy pregnancy. IVF is a popular and successful treatment option because it bypasses the fallopian tubes and standard fertilization, to help ensure success.

Through IVF Jayna and her husband were finally able to welcome their “rainbow baby.” She shares, “…Years of heartache became a lifetime of love. Through hundreds of tests, procedures, surgeries, needles, shots, losses and prayers – we feel so blessed to have our beautiful baby boy.”

Jayna’s Word of Advice To Other Couples

Today, Jayna’s goal is to inspire others and give them hope during the emotional journey to parenthood.

Jayna wanted to share her advice for others struggling with infertility, “No matter how hard it is, how discouraged or emotionally drained you feel, I promise, it is all worth it. Infertility absolutely shakes a woman's identity but it also uncovers a strength many women didn't know they had. If you are battling infertility, I hope this story helps in some small way. Never lose hope, and don’t let fear hold you back.”
