Q: Why did you go into the field of reproductive medicine?
A: Reproductive medicine actually found me as I was looking to specialize and work in women's health when I graduated from physician assistant school, and I cannot see myself working in any other field of medicine. It is such an honor to help women fulfill their dreams of being a mother or expanding their family.

Q: What makes Sincera special?
A: Women from all walks of life are welcome in our practice, with any range of reproductive challenges. We offer everything from IUIs to IVF with pre-implantation genetic screening. We not only see patients for fertility purposes, but we also manage patients with ectopic pregnancies, recurrent pregnancy losses, fibroids, polyps, PCOS, and endometriosis.

Q: What do you think is the most interesting service/technology that fertility has to offer?
A: In my opinion, the most interesting service that we have to offer is preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A). This technology is incredible, as it can tell us if embryos are chromosomally normal or abnormal (and thereby tells us if the embryo is male or female). It's pretty neat to know the gender of an embryo before it is even transferred into the uterus.

Q: If you could share one piece of advice to patients trying to conceive, what would it be?
A: One piece of advice I would offer is to openly talk about how you are feeling. Whether it's with your partner, a friend, or even our staff. Verbalizing your emotions during this difficult process can help you to not feel alone. Infertility/pregnancy loss are very common and shouldn't be "taboo" topics. It brings awareness when women open up about their feelings and struggles.
