Get to know Dr. Rachael Cohen

Q: Why did you choose Sincera?
A: I wanted to be a part of a network that had it's finger on the pulse of the future of medicine.

Q: Why did you choose the field of reproductive endocrinology?
A: Reproductive Endocrinology allows me the opportunity to combine all of the best parts of medicine helping others, lifelong learning and hands on procedures.  Not only do I get to help people in their journey to parenthood, I love that I can truly get to know them through this process.

Q: What is the most rewarding part of your job?
A: Being able to personalize the treatment and the experience for each individual person I meet.  This is a very private subject for most people so one of my top priorities is to make sure each individual I meet with truly feels heard.

Q: What do you think is the most interesting service/technology that fertility has to offer?
A: Honestly, sometimes I still think it's incredible that we are able to combine an egg and sperm in a dish and it becomes a human.  I don't think that there is anything in this field of medicine that isn't interesting.

Q: If you could give patients trying to get pregnant one piece of advice, what would it be?
A: I remember feeling somewhat isolated when I was going through fertility treatments as a physician working as a reproductive endocrinologist.  I imagine that it must be even more intense as someone who doesn't continuously live in this world.  My advice would be to know that you are not alone, never hesitate to reach out because we are here for you in aspects of your care - medically, emotionally, all of it.

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?
A: In my spare time I enjoy dancing, crocheting and doing crafts with my kids.
