Get to know Dr. Jennifer Nichols

Dr. Nichols is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist at Sincera Reproductive Medicine. We recently sat down with her to discuss why she became a fertility specialist, and which fertility care services are most interesting.

Q: Why did you become a reproductive endocrinologist?
A: I love the field. Helping people achieve one of the more profound experiences in life – parenthood – is incredibly rewarding.

Q: Tell us about an interesting service that fertility care has to offer?
A: There are so many new offerings in the field; it brings me great hope for our patients. Most interesting to me, though, is same sex reproductive treatment. There have been exciting new advancements in that niche, in particular, such as reciprocal IVF that allows both same sex female partners to be involved in the IVF process. How amazing is that?

Q: What do you do for fun?
A: I enjoy using my creativity through crafting when I have the spare time. Life is busy as a mom of three young boys, but the most fun part of my life right now is making memories as a family. I think that’s why I love what I do so much. I want to share my experience as a parent with so many deserving men and women out there.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
A: Greece or Australia just to see such different parts of the world.

Q: If you could tell patients trying to get pregnant one piece of advice, what would it be?
A: There’s a lot of pressure out there to conceive. I know it’s hard, but try to remove yourselves from the difficult situations out there in the world if you can. There’s no shame in that. Focus on you and your partner, trust your fertility doctor to help guide you, and trust the process. It is a journey, and at times it may feel like a roller coaster filled with ups and downs, but we are here to help you reach your goal!
